It’s been just under a year since the release of his debut single ‘Good Feeling’, and now, British crooner, Jodie Abacus, releases new track ‘Space Buffalo’, available as a FREE download now.

The follow-up to his recent acclaimed single, ‘Hot Kitchen’, ‘Space Buffalo’ is a chilled-out slice of neo-funk that sees the artist’s silky voice take command over a euphoria-inducing chorus. Speaking on the track, Jodie says “Space Buffalo” is about people who are lost in the wild and trying to find love. It’s about constantly bumping into the wrong type of person and getting into short-lived relationships, and how ex’s can manifest like Klingon ships from Star Trek, causing destruction just when you thought everything was going so well. Still, it’s about the hope of finding the right partner and journeying on.”

Jodie Abacus released his debut single ‘Good Feeling’ on HouseHold Records in June. Less than a year later, Jodie has announced that he’s currently working with Bristol house legend, Julio Bashmore, as well as preparing to embark on a European support tour with fellow neo-soul icon Jamie Woon this spring.

With a recent sold-out London show and key support from the likes of Annie Mac, 6Music’s Laura Laverne and 1xtra tastemaker Mistjam, Jodie Abacus has cemented his status as not just one of 2016’s most infectious new stars, but as a key player in London’s bourgeoning “future soul” movement.
